Body Work on my 1969 K20

After pulling the 307 out of my 1969 K20, there were some areas of rust that really needed some attention. With the front clip removed, now was the perfect time. My buddies all said now was the time to go ahead and paint the truck but I kept saying, no, I'm just gonna get some rust repaired and get her back on the road. Well, wasn't long before fixing some rust turned into fixing all rust and then, of course, I had to paint the truck. I originally planned to paint the truck myself, but then I finally decided that was over my head.

I cleaned the firewall with Castrol Super Clean and it did a great job of getting rid of the years of grime.

Next I took my truck over to a buddy and talked him into making some rust repairs. Wasn't long before I had him doing all the rust repairs - what a great buddy!

Next I began sanding the cab and front clip.

At this point I decided paint was better left to a professional, so, off to the body shop my truck went.
